1. The “!Nspired BY INDIGO Sweepstakes” (the “Contest”) is sponsored and administered by Indigo Books & Music Inc. (“Indigo”or “Sponsor”) and the Prizes (as described below) are provided courtesy of the respective Prize Providers listed below (each a “Prize Provider” and collectively “Prize Providers”).

Contest Period

2. The Contest begins at 12:00 AM Eastern Time (“ET”) on September 21, 2024 and ends at 11:59 PM ET on October 13, 2024 (the “Contest Period”). The Contest Period consists of four (4) “Weekly Entry Periods”, with a different Prize available for each week as set out in the table below are the respective entry start date and end date, entry due date, draw date & time and prize:

Eligibility

3. The Contest is open to legal residents of Canada who at the time of entry: (i) have reached the legal age of majority in their province/territory of residence; and (ii) are a registered plum^® member.
4. plum memberships are free. To join, either (i) visit www.indigo.ca/plum and follow the links and instructions to complete your registration; or (ii) visit your closest Indigo, Chapters, Coles or IndigoSpirit store and request a membership – store staff will assist you in completing your registration. There are no fees associated with membership registration. By registering, each plum member agrees to comply with the plum terms and conditions.
5. Indigo, the Prize Providers, and each of their respective parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, agents or representatives, advertising and promotion agencies, and each of their respective officers, directors and employees (collectively, the “Promotion Entities”), and their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household, may not enter the Contest. For the purposes of these Official Rules, “immediate family member” means spouse, (including common law spouse), father, mother, son, daughter, brother and sister of the entrant, regardless of where they reside.

How to Enter

6. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. There are two (2) ways to enter the Contest:

   With in-store purchase. Any eligible purchase made in-store using your plum or plum+ membership will automatically count as an Entry into the Contest during the current Weekly Entry Period. Store hours will vary by location. Visit https://www.indigo.ca/en-ca/store-locator/ for list of participating stores and operating hours. Eligible purchases exclude eBooks and Indigo Love of Reading products/donations.

   Online Entry. Online Contest registration open Saturday and Sunday. To enter the Contest, at any time during the Contest Period simply fill out the electronic entry form located at https://www.chapters.indigo.ca/en-ca/sweepstakes with the following information and click submit:
   • First name
   • Last name
   • Email address
   • plum membership number

   All eligible entries are referred to as an “Entry” and collectively “Entries” each eligible individual submitting an Entry is an “Entrant” and collectively “Entrants”.

7. By submitting an Entry to the Contest, each entrant acknowledges that they have read and understood these Official Rules and agree to abide by and be bound by them.

Entry Limitation and Verification

8. No limit to the number of Entries during the Contest Period regardless of entry method.
9. Entrants must submit Entries using the correct entry method(s) and include the required information set out above. Indigo is not responsible for any late, incomplete or misdirected contest entries.
10. If the identity of the Entrant is disputed, the authorized account holder of the plum membership number submitted at the time of Entry will be deemed to be the Entrant. The “authorized account holder” is the natural person who is assigned the plum membership number by Indigo. Entrant may be required to provide proof they are the authorized account holder of the rewards membership number associated with the winning Entry.
11. Entries are subject to verification at any time and may be disqualified if they are late, misdirected, incomplete, illegible, irregular, forged, submitted through illicit or unauthorized means, not original to the entrant, or if they contain any false statements or do not conform to or satisfy any condition of these Official Rules. The use of any device to automate the entry process is prohibited. Proof of transmission (screenshots or captures, etc.) does not constitute proof of delivery. Indigo reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual for any reason whatsoever, including any individual who is found to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest.
12. The sole determinant of time for the purposes of a valid Entry in this Contest will be the Sponsor’s server(s).

Prize Description

13. There four (4) weekly prizes available to be won, (each a “Weekly Prize” and collectively the “Weekly Prizes”), one (1) Weekly Prize type for each Weekly Prize Draw of the Contest per the schedule set out in Section 2, the quantity and description of each Weekly Prize is as follows:
    • Week 1 - Mats Sundin Weekly Prize: includes economy airfare for Winner and a guest from the major airport nearest the Winner’s residence to Toronto, Ontario. One (1) night hotel accommodation (based on double occupancy) for Winner and guest while in Toronto. Two (2) tickets to the Hockey Hall of Fame to attend the Mats Sundin meet and greet and book launch event on October 21, 2024 two (2) signed copies of the Mats Sundin book titled Home and Away. Two (2) tickets to attend a Toronto Maple Leafs hockey game at Scotiabank Arena on October 21, 2024. The approximate maximum retail value of this Prize is $3,430 CAD based on a Vancouver departure (“MRV”). Actual value of the prize will depend on the point of departure of Winner and guest however total shall not exceed the MRV. If Winner resides in Ontario or within the Greater Toronto Area, Sponsor will arrange ground transportation in lieu of air travel. See section 14 for more details and exclusions below.
    • Week 2 – 1 Million Plum Points Weekly Prize: there are five (5) Weekly Prizes of 1 Million plum points to be awarded in Week 2, each with an approximate retail value of $2,000 CAD based on the minimum points redemption value. Maximum redemption limit of thirty-five thousand plum points (35,000 points or $100) per transaction applies, see plum rewards program details for full terms and conditions. Total approximate retail of all Week 2 Weekly Prizes is $10,000.00 CAD. Please allow 5-10 business days for points to appear in your plum account balance.
    • Week 3 – Ultimate Booklover Weekly Prize Package for two: there is one (1) Weekly Prize for the Winner and a friend to be awarded Week 3, consisting of two (2) $1000.00 each INDIGO gift cards, and two (2) sets of the INDIGO booklover lifestyle collection of merchandise/apparel ($250.00 each). The total approximate retail value of the Week 3 Weekly Prize is $2500.00 CAD.
    • Week 4 – VIP Shopping Experience for two Weekly Prize: there is one (1) Weekly Prize available for the Winner and a friend to be awarded in Week 4, consisting of two (2) $1000.00 each INDIGO gift cards, and an exclusive 1 hour shopping trip after hours at an Indigo, Chapters or Coles store of the Winner’s choosing, complete with concierge service/shopping expert to assist Winner and friend. Total approximate retail value $2000.00 CAD. The experience must occur on a weekday only for the first hour immediately after store closing, before November 17, 2024 or after January 5, 2025 until March 31, 2025. If there is no store close enough for the Winner and friend to travel to, then this Weekly Prize shall consist of only the two (2) Indigo gift cards which may be used online.

Prize Redemption Restrictions and Conditions:

14. The Week 1 Weekly Prize winner (the “Winner”) and guest will be responsible for: (i) medical insurance for covering medical, evacuation, and repatriation while travelling, and (ii) all other expenses that exceed the Prize value as stated above, including but not limited to: any additional costs for baggage fees, vehicle rental, travel and medical insurance, visas or travel related documentation supplementary ground transportation or accommodations (including to/from the departure airport), gratuities, meals, telephone calls, in-room charges, applicable taxes (including Airport Improvement Taxes), personal services and incidentals.
    • Travel arrangements are at the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor, and are subject to other restrictions set out herein.
    • The Winner of the Week 1 Weekly Prize and guest, must be available to attend the events on October 21, 2024. Should a Winner be unable to attend the event(s) on the date and at the times designated by the Prize Provider, the Prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner.
    • Each of the Winner and guest is responsible for ensuring that they have all necessary travel documents (e.g. passports, visa, etc.), that they are in good order, and are valid prior to, and for the entire duration of the trip. Each Winner must travel on the same departure dates. Each Winner must abide by all venue policies and ticket terms and conditions. Indigo and the Prize Provider reserve the right to revoke any full or partial Prize from the Winner who it, or venue personnel, deem may, in its sole discretion, be intoxicated, be a safety risk, have violated any venue policy or law, or may bring Indigo or the Prize Providers into disrepute.
15. The Week 4 Weekly Prize Winner and friend will be responsible for ground transportation to and from the store chosen. In the event the Winner needs to postpone the date selected for the experience, the Sponsor will accommodate such cancelation by the Winner with one (1) alternate or rain date. If the Winner is unable to attend that alternate date for the shopping experience then the Week 4 Weekly Prize shall consist of only the two (2) Indigo gift cards which may be used online.
16. The Prizes must be accepted as awarded, without any representations, warranties or conditions whatsoever and Indigo expressly disclaims any and all such representations, warranties and conditions. The Prize is non-assignable, non-transferable, non-refundable, non-exchangeable and is not convertible to cash. Indigo reserves the right in its sole discretion to substitute the Prize for a prize of equal or greater value (based on the approximate retail value of the Prize as stated in these Official Rules), including without limitation a cash award, if the Prize cannot be awarded as described herein for any reason. All details and other restrictions of the Prize not specified in these Official Rules will be determined by Indigo in its sole discretion.

Winner Selection:

17. On or about 12:00 PM ET on each Draw Date set out in Section 2 (“Draw Date”) at Indigo’s head office located at 620 King Street West, Suite 400, Toronto, Ontario M5V 1M6, number one (1) draw will be conducted by Indigo representatives who will randomly select the stated number of eligible Entrant(s) to receive the Weekly Prize(s) (the “Selected Entrant(s)”) as a potential winner from all eligible Entries submitted during the Weekly Entry Period. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible Entries received during each Weekly Entry Period.
18. Each Selected Entrant will be contacted by Indigo representatives via email on the Draw Date via e-mail at the email address submitted with their Entry (the “Notification”).
19. Before being declared a Winner, each Selected Entrant and their selected guest or friend must, within two (2) business days of the Notification:
    • Confirm compliance with these Official Rules by signing and returning a Declaration of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release (“Declaration and Release”) which:
      • releases the Promotion Entities from any liability, losses, damages and expenses which may be suffered or incurred in connection with this Contest or the Prize; and
      • provides acknowledgement and consent to the use, without further consideration, of his/her name, city and province/territory of residence, comments and photographs or other likenesses for publicity and promotion purposes by the Promotion Entities in any and all forms of media and waives all rights (including moral rights) with respect to printed, broadcast and other forms of publicity; and
    • Successfully answer, unaided, a mathematical skill-testing question (which may, in the sole and absolute discretion of Indigo, be administered online, by e-mail or other electronic means, by telephone, or in Indigo’s form of declaration and release). Indigo may, in its sole discretion, provide an alternative to the mathematic skill-testing question or vary the requirements to perform any skill-testing component of the Contest to accommodate entrants with physical or cognitive disabilities.
20. If a Selected Entrant: (i) does not meet the above requirements, or (ii) is unable to satisfy any of the eligibility requirements set out in these Official Rules, such Selected Entrant will be disqualified from the Contest at the sole discretion of Indigo and the Prize will be deemed forfeited by that Selected Entrant and such Selected Entrant shall have no recourse toward Indigo or any other person or entity involved in the Contest. In the event that a Selected Entrant is found ineligible, a repeat draw will be conducted from all remaining eligible Entries in accordance with the process set out above. This process will be repeated until a Winner has been declared. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Winner must be confirmed by no later than: 5:00PM ET October 30, 2024, otherwise the unclaimed Prize will be null and void.
21. Once a Selected Entrant is declared a Winner, they will be advised by Indigo where and how to redeem their Prize.
22. If a Winner indicates to Indigo they will not be able to collect their Prize, the Prize will be deemed forfeited by that Winner and Indigo reserves the right to award the Prize to an alternate Selected Entrant who has been selected and qualified as a Winner in accordance with these Official Rules.

Conduct

23. Indigo reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant it finds to be: (a) violating the Official Rules; (b) tampering or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Contest; (c) acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with the intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person; or (d) for any other similar conduct. Any attempt by an entrant or any other individual to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest may be a violation of criminal and/or civil laws. Should any such attempt be made, Indigo reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitations of Liability

24. The Promotion Entities are not responsible for lost, stolen, late, misdirected, incomplete, illegible, damaged, garbled or irregular Entries, Notifications or Declaration and Release documents, or for any Entries not received or not processed for any reason, including any technical or human error.
25. The Promotion Entities are not responsible for any errors, omissions, incorrect or inaccurate information in these Official Rules, other Contest-related materials, including without limitation, printing or advertising errors, failure of or problems with any other equipment or programming associated with or used in the Contest howsoever caused. In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of these Official Rules and disclosures or other statements contained in any Contest-related materials, including but not limited to the Contest entry form, or point of sale, television, print or online advertising, the terms and conditions of these Official Rules shall govern and control. In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the English language version and the French language version of the Official Rules, the English version shall govern and control.
26. The Promotion Entities are not responsible for any: failure of or problems with the Internet; problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment or software; failure, interruption or delay of any entry or e-mail to be transmitted or received or processed, including failure resulting from technical, human or other error or theft; technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or combination thereof, including injury or damage to an entrant's computer or mobile device or to any other individual's computer or mobile device related to or resulting from participating in, or downloading any material, regarding the Contest or accepting a prize; the security or privacy of information transmitted via computer networks or for breaches of privacy due to interference by third party computer “hackers” or otherwise; any communication not received due to an entrant’s spam filter, user’s system or internet connection; and late, lost misdirected, or unsuccessful efforts to notify a potential Winner.
27. The Promotion Entities are not responsible if any factor beyond their reasonable control, including weather, event cancellations, strike, lockout or any other labour dispute at their locations or the locations of any other organization or business whose services are used to fulfill this Contest, prevent any Prize or any component of a prize from being fulfilled. In any such event, the Winner will not be provided with a substitute Prize or a substitute component of the Prize, as applicable, except at Indigo’s sole discretion.
28. Under no circumstances will the Promotion Entities be required to award more Prizes than what is indicated in these Official Rules or award the Prize other than in accordance with these Official Rules.

Protection of Personal Information

29. By entering the Contest, each entrant consents to the collection, storage, use and disclosure of their personal information for the purpose of administering the Contest by Indigo and for the purposes described in these Official Rules, in accordance with Indigo’s privacy policy found at https://www.indigo.ca/en-ca/legal/privacy-policy/.
30. NOTICE FOR RESIDENTS OF QUEBEC. By entering the contest, you consent to the collection, storage, use and disclosure of personal information for the purpose of administering the Contest by Indigo and for the purposes described in these Official Rules, outside of Quebec, in accordance with the Indigo privacy policy found at https://www.indigo.ca/en-ca/legal/privacy-policy/.
31. By entering the Contest, each entrant acknowledges that the Promotion Entities may communicate with entrants via e-mail with respect to communicating the results of the Contest and the awarding of the Prize. No marketing communications will be received by entrants unless entrants provide Indigo with explicit permission to do so.

General

32. This Contest is void where prohibited by law and is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. The Contest and these Official Rules are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
33. Indigo reserves the right to modify, suspend, terminate or reinstate the Contest or the Official Rules at any time, without notice, and for any reason. If the Contest is terminated, in whole or in part, before the designated date, Indigo reserves the right to select the Winners in a random drawing from all eligible, non-suspect entries received as of the date of the termination. Inclusion in such drawing shall be each entrant’s sole and exclusive remedy under such circumstances.
34. All Entries become the property of Indigo and will not be returned and no correspondence regarding the Contest will be made with or entered into except with the Selected Entrant(s) and the Winner.
35. The Winner’s first and last name will be publicly available at the Indigo Head Office at 620 King Street West, Suite 400, Toronto, Ontario M5V 1M6 and may be posted on www.indigo.ca and other Indigo marketing channels or materials.
36. All intellectual property, including but not limited to trademarks, trade names, logos, designs, promotional materials, web pages, source code, drawings, illustrations, slogans and representations are owned by Indigo and their respective affiliates, the Prize Providers or used under license from their respective owners. All rights are reserved. Unauthorized copying or use of any copyrighted material or intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited.
