An excellent read

"I really expected this book to be a whiny book but was pleasantly surprised to discover i was really enjoying it. It is very well written, easy to read and follow and very interesting."

Bernetta S. (5/5)

Great insights for managers, students studying intersectionality, and security studies

"Incredible insights into CSIS work culture. Chapter structure was well designed. At times, it read like a resume. The author’s political bias became more prevalent in the second half, and at times, came across exaggerated. Quantity of characters and lack of nicknames based on unique visual identifiers made it difficult to recall directors, managers, and colleagues named throughout… aliases and first introductions don’t last long. Grateful to have had the opportunity to read the author’s brave account of the events that transpired and how she dealt with the hurt and injustice. No easy task."

Dreader (3/5)

I’d pass

"Not what I was looking for. I’m more of a Le Carre, Deighton. Fleming. Silva. Fan."

AKA G. (1/5)

Truly an agent for change, but where is the cooperation and appropriate action from government?

"A true story about how speaking your truth to power ends in the Canadian Intelligence community."

Ann M. (3/5)

An insider’s view of systemic racism

"A well written insider account of the author’s work life inside government facing daily micro-agressions as a racialized person. She was clearly very talented but faced barriers to advancement at every turn."

Book F. (4/5)
