A stunning hardcover limited special edition of Taylor Jenkins Reid’s sensational New York Times bestselling novel.
A legendary film actress reflects on her relentless rise to the top and the risks she took, the loves she lost, and the long-held secrets the public could never imagine.
Aging and reclusive Hollywood movie icon Evelyn Hugo is finally ready to tell the truth about her glamorous and scandalous life. But when she chooses unknown magazine reporter Monique Grant for the job, no one is more astounded than Monique herself. Why her? Why now?
Monique is not exactly on top of the world. Her husband has left her, and her professional life is going nowhere. Regardless of why Evelyn has selected her to write her biography, Monique is determined to use this opportunity to jumpstart her career.
Summoned to Evelyn’s luxurious apartment, Monique listens in fascination as the actress tells her story. From making her way to Los Angeles in the 1950s to her decision to leave show business in the ’80s, and, of course, the seven husbands along the way, Evelyn unspools a tale of ruthless ambition, unexpected friendship, and a great forbidden love. Monique begins to feel a very real connection to the legendary star, but as Evelyn’s story near its conclusion, it becomes clear that her life intersects with Monique’s own in tragic and irreversible ways.
“Heartbreaking, yet beautiful” (Jamie Blynn, Us Weekly), The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo is “Tinseltown drama at its finest” (Redbook): a mesmerizing journey through the splendor of old Hollywood into the harsh realities of the present day as two women struggle with what it means—and what it costs—to face the truth.

Great read!
"Great read! There wasn't a dull moment, and it kept me reading!"
— Martin (5/5)
Worth the read just for the ending!
"I really enjoyed this book! There was a lot of hype. I wasn’t sure if it was really my genre but it was fantastic. I appreciate that the author wasn’t afraid to make the characters gritty and unlikable yet her writing was so captivating that you grew attached to them anyway! The ending was brilliant and full circle. Now that I have read this I will for sure be trying another book from her! Worth the read"

great story but i
"great story but i felt like it romanticized infidelity. marriage is a glorified promise, but it's still a commitment. the cavalier way in which this book used marriage to move the plot forward made me uncomfortable."

7 Husbands of Evelyn Hugo- Review
"If you're a fanatic of the """"Golden Era"""" of Hollywood and love a captivating read this is it! I loved all the nods to certain 50/60s Hollywood icons throughout the book and how captivating the character Evelyn Hugo is. Also if you love a good twist this one has a good handful as well!"
— Mika (5/5)
Definitely Glamorous
"Wow, this book hit me harder than I expected. It’s beautifully written and full of emotions — fame, love, regrets, all of it. Evelyn is such a fascinating character, and the story felt so real that I forgot it was fiction at times. It’s glamorous, sad, and powerful all at once. Definitely one I’ll remember for a long time."
— Ievgeniia (5/5)

Lovely book!
"Gosh this was a great read, and so bitter sweet. I go back for a reread to cry or get my romance fix."
— Jenny (5/5)
So very bad
"How is this book the huge success that it is???? It is so poorly written, I can’t believe it was even published. The story is told in such a weird, stilted way, it’s impossible to feel connected at all. I stuck with it out of curiosity and need to tell anyone who is thinking about reading it to save themselves and don’t."
