What are the benefits of enrolling in the program?

By enrolling in plumTeacher, you will receive access to shop Teacher Appreciation weekends throughout the year, exclusive relevant email offers, a newsletter featuring literary resources plus invitations to teacher community events. Additionally, you will be able to access our online Teacher Content Hub.

Is there a cost to join plumTeacher?

plumTeacher is free to join! You can choose upgrade to plum+ to receive an additional 10% off almost everything1 and free shipping with no minimum spend2.

What qualifies as a teacher?

plumTeacher was designed to provide value, content and community that targets elementary and secondary teachers. If you are a home-school teacher or work in education and would benefit from this program, you are welcome to join.

How can I join the program?

Enrollment in the program is currently available in-store only. To enroll, you must present valid Teacher I.D.

Can I enroll in the program if I do not have a Teacher Identification card?

Valid Teacher Identification is required to enroll in this program. If you do not have a physical card, please present current documentation that includes your name, position and the school affiliation. Examples of acceptable identification include: valid teacher certification, school staff ID or a current verification letter from your school administrator. CCHE cards are accepted for homeschooling parents.

What if I do not live near a store?

At this time, enrollment in the program is only available in-store.

If you do not live near a store and would like to receive the plumTeacher newsletter, please contact Customer Service team to Opt-In to all our English emails. The Teacher Appreciation discount is only available in-store.

Is the program available in all of Canada?

plumTeacher is not available within Quebec at this time. The Enseignant(e) plum French program is coming in soon.

Quebec educators will continue to be eligible for Teacher Appreciation weekends.

I do not remember signing up, how do I know if I am already a member?

Teachers who have shopped previous Teacher Appreciation promotions and are already members of the plum program, have been auto enrolled. A store associate can ensure you are a member and also confirm you are opted-in to receiving all of our marketing emails, including the plumTeacher newsletter.

What resources will be available through plumTeacher?

When you become a member of the plumTeacher program you will have access to an exclusive newsletter and content hub full of curated booklists by age and by theme, and a growing library of downloadable lesson plans, unit plans, and other tips and tricks to help inspire reading in the classroom and beyond.

How do I get the Teacher Appreciation discount?

Teacher Appreciation weekends are offered at various times throughout the year and are in store only. Promotional details, including timing, will be included in our plumTeacher newsletter.

Will I be able to access Teacher Appreciation weekends if I am not enrolled in plumTeacher?

Teacher Appreciation weekends are a benefit of the plumTeacher program; you must be a plumTeacher to get access.

How do I know when Teacher community events are happening?

All plumTeacher events will be posted on indigo.ca/events. Additionally, event details will be included in our plumTeacher newsletter.

How do I get the plumTeacher Newsletter?

To receive our plumTeacher newsletter, you must opt-in to marketing emails, so you receive the next edition. This can be done in-store, through the Account Center or by contacting our Customer Service team.

I’m no longer a teacher/was auto enrolled incorrectly. How do I remove the plumTeacher status from my account?

If you would like to remove the plumTeacher status from your account, please visit us in-store or reach out to our Customer Service team.

I want to receive the plumTeacher newsletter but not other Indigo marketing emails – can I do this?

At this time, you have to opt-in to receive all of our marketing emails to receive the plumTeacher newsletter.
